Common questions
Each one links to the concept page that explains it.
Nine times in ten it's category weights. A category set to 40% contributes 40% of the final grade no matter how many points sit inside it, so one stray assignment can swing a total.
CategoriesTerms come first. Set up the year's terms, then classrooms and assignments attach to them. Last year's records stay where they are.
TermsPercentages never move; the grading scale only names them. If the scale changed, every letter in the school changed with it, and stored report cards keep the letter they printed.
Grading scalesToday's list comes from sections, and it only appears inside a term. Check that today falls within the year's terms and that the classroom offers a section that meets today.
SectionsInvite a guardian and they see their own children and no one else's, read only. Two switches decide whether they can also reply to feedback or start a conversation.
CollaborationYou pay $1.50 per active student a month, with the first 5 free, and the count is the day's highest. Archive a student and they come off the meter the next day. Yearly schools pay one invoice against the roster they expect.
BillingBy default a teacher opens only students who share one of their classrooms this year. The Teacher setting under Permissions can widen that to the whole school.
